Used Auto Loans

All right smart guy, no really, I mean it. You are a smart guy. “Who me?” you might wonder.

Yes, you. I, good friend, am calling you smart because you’ve taken the brave and highly intelligent step of applying for used auto loans, which in turn, means that you plan to buy a used car, which means, that you are trying to live within your means.

That, is why I call you smart guy–all because of a little thing called a used auto loan.

Maybe though, you are thinking, “I want to be a smart guy, but I didn’t know!” Forgiven. A lot of people aren’t aware that you can get auto loans for used vehicles–and that doesn’t just mean used autos from the dealer, that actually means used vehicles from anywhere. So how do you go about finding yourself a cheap, reliable, used car for your used auto loans?

The list is huge, but I’ll name a few of my favorite places where you can get used cars.

1.) Independent used-car dealers or consignment lots.

They’re not exactly the same, but they both have the same principle of not being owned by a big car company (that will probably overcharge or just not sell cars within  your budget).

2.) Internet shopping.

I’ve got two personal favorites here. Feel free to add your own. craigslist.com and usedcars.com. Craigslist will probably get you lower prices but is a little more hit or miss depending on the season. Usedcars.com has lots of listings and generally low prices.

3.) Auctions.

There are tons of car auctions out there. You’ve got government car auctions, police auctions, and repossessed car auctions. Any of these options can get you a great car for a good price. You just need to be persistent.

Once you’ve found your car, getting used auto loans won’t be difficult. At least, not if you know where to look.
